Marble sets new track record

WHITE CITY — David Marble set a new track record in the mini stock class during qualifying at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday night.

His time was 17.505 seconds.

Josh King was crowned the Southern Oregon Dwarf Car Association champion and Steve Rambo took home rookie of the year honors. CJ Putnam swept the dwarf cars and picked up $1,000 in a fast dash for cash, while Brock Peters won $500 in the same race.

Jeff Hudson swept the pro stocks.

Racing will resume Sept. 27 with championship night. The demolition derby set for this weekend was cancelled.
