Two arrested in connection with theft of Brammo racing bike

Talent police have recovered a $250,000 electric racing motorcycle stolen from Brammo Inc. last week and arrested two men.

On Sunday, investigators got a tip that the Empulse RR race bike, which was taken from Brammo's headquarters during a break-in discovered Friday morning, was at a home in Talent.

Police got a search warrant and at around 8 p.m. Sunday officers went to the home in the 100 block of Third Street, where they found the stolen bike. They arrested two men who live at the home. Michael Joseph Manring, 28, was arrested on charges of first-degree aggravated theft and second-degree burglary, and Juan Carlos Nunez-Vega, 24, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree aggravated theft and second-degree burglary. Nunez-Vega remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Monday morning on $25,000 bail.

Brammo had offered a $1,000 reward for the bike's return.

Talent police Sgt. Jennifer Snook said investigators got several tips that were motivated by the possibility of a reward. On tip led to another and ultimately pointed police to the bike and the two suspects. She said the investigation is continuing.
