Medford Cruise

The Medford Cruise is a Southern Oregon staple, and this year's 31st annual edition will feature all the classic events locals remember from their younger days, including drift racing, drag racing, show ‘n shines and the signature cruise through downtown Medford.

This year's event runs June 11-18, and proceeds will go to the Greater Medford Rotary Foundation, which redistributes the money to local youth organizations.

Among the noteworthy events are a free concert in the park, The La Bamba Show — A Tribute to Ritchie Valens, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 17, in Fichtner-Mainwaring Park; a drift event Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, at Jackson County Sports Park; a karaoke event at Lava Lanes from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14; a "stoplight drags" event for 1979 and older cars Friday, June 17, at the Sports Park; and a movie, "Herbie The Love Bug," Saturday, June 18, at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park.

The Downtown Cruise for cars from 1979 and earlier will traverse Medford's streets from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18. The main show 'n' shine will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., also on June 18, in Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. The park is near the intersection of Holmes and Stewart avenues.
