Gypsy Soul

Multi-instrumentalist Roman Morykit and singer Cilette Swann will be joined by guitarist and trumpet player Mike Stevens for a concert of acoustic roots and soul at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Nevada St., Ashland. The Stone Foxes with 100 Watt Mind

San Francisco rock 'n' roll band The Stone Foxes will play at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Howiee's, 16 N. Front St., Medford. The band has headlined at the legendary Fillmore Auditorium in its hometown and has supported such bands as The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant and ZZ Top. It's fourth album, "Twelve Spells," solidifies a place in San Francisco's rich rock 'n' roll history. Founded by brothers Shannon (vocals, drums, harmonica) and Spence Koehler (guitar, vocals), The Stone Foxes includes keyboard player Elliot Peltzman, drummer Brian "The Buffalo" Bakalian, guitar and bass player Vince Dewald, and guitar and violin player Ben Andrews. Ashland rock band 100 Watt Mind opens the show.

Mederi Foundation Benefit Concert

Dream Band, featuring Rogue Valley musicians and vocalists, will perform classic soul music and hits at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at RoxyAnn Winery, 3283 Hillcrest Road, Medford. Jeff K and Overtones will open the show. Tickets are $28 in advance and can be purchased online at mederifoundation.org. Tickets will be $33 at the door. Kids 13 and younger get in free. There will be lawn seating, and Peruvian Point food truck will be at the site. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Mederi Foundation, a nonprofit committed to improving the quality of life of those faced with chronic diseases, especially cancer. The Daedalus Project

OSF's 2016 benefit for HIV and AIDS organizations begins at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, with the Daedalus 5K run/walk. Entry is $28 in advance, $30 the day of the race. A full day of fundraising activities are set for Monday, Aug. 22, with a bake sale at 11 a.m. in the Angus Bowmer Theatre, a lemonade stand and informational fair in the OSF courtyard, and an arts and treasures sale in the Thomas Theatre. The sale will include the ever-popular Daedalus Bears, inspired by the season's plays and created by the OSF costume shop. Monday's festivities culminate with a play reading directed by Bill Rauch. Dubbed the Daedalus Mystery Musical, the reading will be based on a classical musical and revealed when the performance begins at 2 p.m. in the Bowmer Theatre. Tickets are $35. Finally, the main event, the Daedalus Variety Show is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Elizabethan Theatre. Tickets are $40 or $45. Jeff Pevar and L.E.F.T.

Guitar aficionado, sideman and recording artist Jeff Pevar will join local band L.E.F.T. — singer, songwriter and guitarist Bret Levick, lap steel player Bob Evoniuk, bassist Greg Frederick and drummer Matt Terreri — for a set of rock improvisation at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at South Stage Cellars, 125 S.
