Ashland galleries open late for First Friday Art Walk

Hanson Howard Gallery keeps to its tradition of giving art enthusiasts an eyeful for the holidays. Art by gallery artists will be displayed in salon style. Fine prints, sculpture and ceramics by Robert Devoe, Jhenna Quinn Lewis, Gabriel Mark Lipper and other artists share imagination, beauty, fancy, playfulness and curiosity. Ashland's oldest gallery, Hanson Howard is a classic showcase for established and emerging contemporary Northwest artists. The salon will be available through December.

A selection of fine art photography by David Lorenz Winston of Talent will be displayed through December at The Photographers Gallery in the Ashland Art Center through December. Known for his artistic images of trees, Winston is equally at home exploring ordinary moments in everyday life — moments that are often missed as we press ahead in our daily routines.

Prints and jewelry by Tiffany Hokanson, paintings in pen and ink, watercolor and oil by Carolee Buck, felted wool by Liza Hamilton, monoprints by Denise Kester and art by Donna Hertz will be showcased at the Ashland Art Center.

Look for a holiday gift show at Ashland Art Works, where there will be assemblage, jewelry and paintings by Elin Babcock, garden pottery by Marydee Bombick, glass jewelry and ceramics by Debbie Early, paintings by Michael Gibson, and more.

Receptions for the artists will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at participating galleries during the Ashland First Friday Art Walk. Pick up gallery tour maps at any of the listed galleries, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce or download one from www.ashlandgalleries.com.
