Annual bike swap coming up
Ashland's 28th annual Bike Swap will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at The Grove, 1195 E. Main St., providing the opportunity to buy or sell working-condition bicycles and related equipment. Proceeds from the event fund bike safety education in the Rogue Valley.
People interested in selling items can drop them off at The Grove from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, and again on Saturday, April 14, from 8 to 10 a.m. The seller will agree to pay 20 percent of each sold bike with a $100 cap to benefit bicycle safety education.
For those interested in buying a bicycle, the swap will be open to the public on Saturday, April 14, noon to 2 p.m. The event takes place at The Grove, 1195 East Main St. in Ashland. Admission is $1 per person.
Bicycle and equipment donations are tax-deductible. All bicycles must be in very good condition and working order.
Donations will be accepted at The Grove until 5 p.m. Friday, April 6. Call Lori Ainsworth for more information at 541-552-2264 or visit RVTD.org/bikeswap.
Volunteers make the event possible. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Ainsworth by email at email@example.com or by phone.
