Ashland Key Clubbers collect awards

The Ashland High School Key Club won district awards at the Pacific Northwest District Conference in Portland in March.

The Ashland contingent, in competition with Key Clubs from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and British Columbia, won the Single Service Award for Relay For Life in 2017 and the Major Emphasis Award for The Ashland Monster Dash in 2017.

It was the final conference as Southern Oregon Key Clubs (Division 82) Lieutenant Governor for Molly Bloom, a junior at Ashland High School, who served in the post for one year. Her job involved overseeing nine Key Clubs from Grants Pass to Klamath Falls, as well as traveling to Portland and Seattle for quarterly meetings and preparing for the Spring District Convention with more than 2,200 Key Clubbers.
