A Grizz sweep

The Ashland High girls won all three duals and the Ashland boys went 2-1 in a nonconference four-way dual meet Wednesday at Southern Oregon University pool.

The Grizzly girls beat South Medford 105-51, Crater 123-21 and Cascade Christian 130-7 in a dominant performance. The Grizz boys beat Crater 9-42 and Cascade Christian 88-30 but suffered a 79-67 loss to South Medford.

The Ashland girls were led by senior Sabrina Scoggin, who won the 50-yard freestyle in 29.32 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 6:16.68. Also on the girls side, senior Kaya Boehm won the 100 butterfly in 1:15.60 and sophomore Amelia Zeve won the 100 breastroke in 1:28.28.

The Ashland boys were paced by junior Ethan Croyle, who won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.90, and junior Devon Lancaster, who won the 100 backstroke in 1:06.24.
