Central Point planners to review four new subdivisions
The Central Point planning commission will meet at 7 tonight to discussfour subdivisions that would add 102 homes to the city.
The proposed subdivisions cluster around Grant Road, from Taylor Roadto Beall Lane. Wayne Christian Construction proposed three, and SuncrestHomes proposed the fourth. Christian has proposed 86 units, to be builtin three stages each a separate proposal.
The Suncrest Homes subdivision would be adjacent to the Christian developments, but would be a separate subdivision.
Tonight's meeting probably will focus on two potential sticking pointsin the proposal, City Administrator Jim Bennett said.
First, a creek and wetlands run through the property. The Division ofState Lands asked Wayne Christian Construction to detail how it would dealwith them, Bennett said.
A neighborhood group also has been trying to buy part of the land fora neighborhood park.
