OLCC fines three local businesses

Two Rogue Valley businesses were fined and one reprimanded for alcohol violations, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission said this week.

Why Not Market on Rogue River Highway in Grants Pass was hit with the steepest fine, $1,170 for selling to a minor on May 23.

McGrath's Public Fish House on Stewart Avenue in Medford was fined $273 for failing to send in a service permit application by a May — deadline.

O'Ryan's Irish Sports Pub on East Main Street in Ashland was sent a letter of reprimand for permitting a visibly intoxicated person to consume alcohol on Dec. 18, 1997.

The sanctions were among 34 statewide violations approved by the OLCC at its August meeting.
