Land managers form single firm
Three Rogue Valley property management companies have merged to form Capital Property Management.
The participants are: Lively Real Estate and Property Management Inc., owned by David Lively, who will head — the merged company. — — Ashland Property Management Inc., owned by Kay Abbett, who will serve as a consultant as — the companies are consolidated. — — Capital Income Properties, owned by Chuck Butler, Roger Hull, Mark Olfson and Jim — Wright. —
The combined company has eight employees and leases 630 units, Hull said.
Capital Income Properties has been managing its own properties for years, he said. As we acquired more, the management has been a drain on our resources.
They approached Abbett, who was looking at getting out of the real estate business and discussed the potential for expansion into Medford. That led them to the alliance with Lively.
The company will start with three offices, at 35 Third St. and 581 E. Main St., both in Ashland, and 2594 E. Barnett Road, Suite C, Medford. Hull said it will probably end up with just one office in Medford and one in Ashland.
