Medford to host marketing convention
More than 300 marketing professionals are expected to come to Medford this winter for one of the largest conventions in the city.
The 1999 Pacific Northwest Farm Direct Marketing Association Annual Convention and Trade Show will be held Feb. 24-27 at the DoubleTree Hotel. Those attending work in direct marketing, a facet of the agricultural industry. The number of farmers' markets in the country has increased by 50 percent in the last four years, the USDA said.
Medford was chosen for the site partly because it's home to Harry and David's Country Village, which attendees will tour along with other businesses and attractions.
