Medford optometrist Steven Schireman has returned to the area to join a partnership with optometrist Theron Karrick at the Southern Oregon Vision Clinic at 713 E. Jackson St.

Schireman is a Medford native and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1982. He earned his degree in optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove in 1988.

Leader Mortgage has added two loan officers to its sales staff.

Marc Bayliss has joined the West Main Street branch. Bayliss is in his second year in the mortgage industry and specializes in residential and commercial real estate lending.

Before working in the lending field, he spent 11 years in local broadcasting and 13 years in health care management.

He is president of Britt Festivals and past president of the Medford Schools Education Foundation.

He has volunteered, through Rotary International, for various humanitarian and medical relief efforts worldwide.

Couch formerly owned the Golf Swing Shop in Medford and has 31 years' experience in sales and management.

Sleppy has worked in real estate and related fields for 25 years. She earned her broker's license in 1995 and is designated as an accredited buyer's representative. She is a member of the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council, the National Association of Realtors,

the Oregon Association of Realtors, the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors and the Southern Oregon Multiple Listing Service.

ERA Prestige Homes announces the recent addition of sales associate Lori Wetzel.

Wetzel is a 1980 graduate of Grants Pass High School. She worked in the construction industry and in marketing.

Steve Dunham, of SASCO Fasteners in Medford, has been appointed president of Western Association of Fastener Distributors for the 1999-2000 term.

The association comprises 66 fastener distributors and suppliers with inventory in the western United States.
