Michael Bond, chief executive of Medford-based PrimeCare Inc., has received the Diamond Award for Vision and Leadership from the Independent Physicians Association of America (TIPAA).

Bond is the first Oregonian to receive the national award.

TIPAA represents independent physician associations throughout the United States in best business practices, quality patient care issues and legislative efforts. PrimeCare represents 265 physicians in Southern Oregon.

Al Holloway, President of TIPAA, cited Bond's development of a strong association in Oregon and his contributions to national issues.

Bond is immediate past president of the Oregon IPA Association, a member of a national IPA Best Practices committee sponsored by Proctor and Gamble and a frequent presenter at national conferences.

Prior to joining PrimeCare in 1994, Bond held management positions with CompreCare Health Care Services in Colorado, the Air Line Pilots Association and the National Institutes of Health.

Denise Groll

has joined Associated Credit Systems Inc. of Medford's pre-employment screening division.

She will help coordinate the firm's background check and screening services, which help employers limit potential liability for negligent hiring.

Bill and Pam Harmon

are the new owners of Topline Truck and Auto Accessories, 4495 Table Rock Road.

Bill Harmon was a sales associate at Crater Lake Ford. The couple opened the Golf Swing Shop in 1987 and sold it in 1996.

Mark Walters

has been hired as a job developer for Living Opportunities Inc., a Medford-based nonprofit that fills labor needs for employers and provides employment for people with developmental disabilities.

Walters has over 10 years experience in fund-raising for nonprofits and has coached a number of sports for Special Olympics.

Three employees have been promoted by the Medford accounting firm Kosmatka, Donnelly and Co.

Marianne E. Harris

and John A. Warekois, both certified public accountants, have been promoted from senior staff accountants to supervisors.

Kevin Fink

has been promoted from computer consultant to information technology manager.

Southern Oregon Goodwill Industries has hired three new employees.

Tammy Woods

has been hired as area manager for Jackson County. She previously worked for G.I. Joe's and Eagle Hardware.

Jack Duggan

has been hired as community relations coordinator. Duggan previously worked in the public information department at Seattle City Light.

Kathy Ironsides

has been hired as manager of Goodwill's store in Phoenix. She previously worked for G. I. Joe's.
