Downtown Merchant's Mall to close Sept. 4

Downtown Merchant's Mall, an antique and collectibles store, will close Sept. 4, ending a 19-year run at 117 S. Central Ave.

Gary Holt, who manages the business, says the building has been for sale for several years and that an offer has been made to purchase it. He declined to reveal the buyer because the sale has not yet closed.

The building and the business is owned by Bill Rombach, who also owns and operates Rombach's Oak Furniture Outlet across the street.

When the Merchant's Mall closes, Holt says he will concentrate on Everybody's Real Estate & Auction Service, a business he and Rombach started earlier this year.
