Two ordered to pay back benefits

Two Jackson County men have pleaded guilty to illegally collecting unemployment benefits, the Oregon Employment Department announced Thursday.

Corey S. Streitler, 29, of Medford, pleaded guilty to illegally collecting more than $4,800 in unemployment benefits. He was sentenced to 24 months probation and 32 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay $4,840 in restitution.

Lefear Upshur, 31, of White City, pleaded guilty to illegally collecting more than $3,000 in benefits. He was sentenced to 18 months' probation and 80 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay $3,016 in restitution.
