CP trucking executive elected state chairman

Mike Card, president of Central Point-based Combined Transport, has been elected chairman of the the board for the Oregon Trucking Association.

Card will lead the 900-member organization for two years. He was elected at the group's annual meeting earlier this month. He served on the board of directors for two years.

Card graduated from the University of Oregon in 1981 and joined Combined Transport in 1983. The company was founded in 1980 by his father, Richard Card. It has 250 trucks and operates in 48 states.
