Lithia Motors Inc. continues to absorb auto dealerships. The Medford-based company announced Monday that it has bought Tri-Cities Dodge in Kennewick, Wash., for $3.9 million in cash and stock.

The deal gives Lithia 39 dealerships in five states and marks the 11th dealership the company has purchased this year -- matching last year's total. The company has added more than $475 million in annual sales this year, topping last year's $310 million, spokesman Jeff DeBoer said.

He said the company expects to continue buying dealerships.
