Ed Bludau, owner of the McCall House Bed and Breakfast in Ashland, has been elected to the board of directors of the Oregon Lodging Association. He will represent innkeepers in Jackson and Josephine counties.

The Oregon Lodging Association has a membership of more than 1,200 hotels, motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, RV parks and related businesses.

have joined The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company.

VALIC is a provider of employer-sponsored retirement programs to employees of health-care, education, public employer and non-profit organizations.

Payn, the former manager of Kelly Services in Medford, is providing retirement investment services to groups including Asante Health System and the Rogue Valley Manor.

Wittenberg, former benefits coordinator for Boise Cascade, is providing retirement planning to groups including public schools, Rogue Community College's Medford campus and the Catholic Archdiocese of Portland.

Rob Hernandez, president of S&B James Construction, has been appointed to American Buildings Company's President's Council.

The council serves as an advisory group to American's management on operational and strategic issues.

American Buildings Company of Eufaula, Ala., is a manufacturer of metal building and roofing systems.
