Roe and Dr. Mark Moran
have been appointed to the Asante Health System's governing board.
Roe is general manager of Roe Motors GM in Grants Pass and a longtime Josephine County resident. He has served on the board of directors of Three Rivers Hospital since 1992. He also is president of the Rogue Gateway Rotary club.
Moran is a cardiologist who has been practicing in Medford for 19 years. He is the medical staff president for Rogue Valley Medical Center and has served on Asante's joint hospitals board for two years. Moran practices at the Oregon Heart Lung Center in Medford.
Moran and Roe will fill the board vacancies created by the retirement of Dick Rudisile and Olive Lansburgh from the board. Rudisile, regional manager for Boise Cascade, served on the board for 15 years, while Lansburgh, an Eagle Point resident, served for four.
Dr. William Husum is also leaving the board, having resigned late last year. Husum served four years.
Snider, a Medford architect, has been elected chairman of the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, the fund-raising arm of the Asante Health System.
The other new officers of the foundation are: Ike Apocada, vice chair; Debra F.J. Lee, vice chair; Ronald H. Holzkamp, vice chair; Jane Stradley, secretary; Laura Sheen, treasurer; and Wallace G. Iverson, awards and scholarships.
. Donald Ross
has joined Medford Neurological and Spine Clinic as a neurological surgeon.
Ross, a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, served as an associate professor of neurological surgery and otolaryngology at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor from 1989 to 1999.
He did his residency at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and a fellowship in cranial base surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He specializes in epilepsy operations.
