Samovar Russian Restaurant is now under new ownership

Samovar Russian Restaurant, 101 E. Main St., has changed ownership.

Steve and Innessa Polk have succeeded Gogi and Jenna Tenyashuili, who originally opened the restaurant in March 1992.

Steve Polk has been a chef at Samovar for seven years and Innessa Polk is from the Ukraine.

The Tenyashuilis are moving to Portland.

Thomas Kinkade Gallery opens at Rogue Valley Mall

A Thomas Kinkade Gallery is now open at Rogue Valley Mall, near Meier & Frank on the lower level. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Rogue Valley woman joins Country Peddlers alliance

The Country Peddlers & Co. of America have a Rogue Valley affiliate. Shandra Maddox joined the Illinois-based alliance this year. She operates from 302 Candis Drive, Eagle Point. Country Peddlers takes part in fund-raisers.

Workshop planned on maintaining personal wealth

"Conscious Prosperity: The Secret to Simple & Lasting Personal Wealth" workshop will be presented by John Moore at Unity in Ashland, 400 Williamson Way. The session runs from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 21.

This is not an investment program, debt consolidation, refinancing or bi-monthly mortgage plan. Participants are asked to bring a calculator and a list of debts showing current balance, payment and minimum payment (principal and interest only).

SOROA will offer landlord-tenant law update class

A landlord-tenant law update class will be offered Friday and Saturday by the Southern Oregon Rental Owners Association.

The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday session at Table Rock Mobile Village, 2385 Table Rock Road, is limited to 42 people. The 9 a.m. to — p.m. Saturday session is at the Reston Hotel, 2300 Crater Lake Highway.
