Truscott is an experienced salesman and businessman who spent 15 years with IBM in administration and sales, holding a number of sales records. He is a former retail businessman and had commercial property.

He is a board member and officer of a cooperative; served on the Medford City Council and a number of civic committees.

He is a past president of Rotary and has done business consulting in Eastern Europe.

Truscott specializes in commercial and industrial property and business opportunities.

Slattery

has passed all four parts of the CPA examination.

He has worked at Rick Nagel's CPA office for nearly two years. He has been involved in all areas of income tax return preparation, research and review; for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts.

He also provides business consultation, financial statement preparation, payroll services and other business-related matters.

Slattery is a two-term past president and board member of the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, Southern Oregon University's Regional Advisory Board as well as a number of other community boards and committees.

recently joined the March of Dimes, Greater Oregon Chapter staff as community director for Jackson, Josephine and Lincoln counties.

As community director, Hames will work with volunteers, oversee fund-raising events and implement March of Dimes programs in Medford, Grants Pass, Lincoln City, Newport and surrounding areas.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.

Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs on education, research, community service and advocacy projects to save babies.

The Hotel Group of Edmonds, Wash., has named Saundra

McLean

as director of sales for the Plaza Inn and Suites at Ashland Creek at 98 Central Ave.

Her responsibilities will include developing and executing sales and marketing plans, guest reservations and budget monitoring for the opening of the hotel.

Although new to The Hotel Group, this will be the second hotel that McLean has helped open. She has worked for hotels in North Dakota, Minnesota and Texas.

She has more than 15 years experience in hotel marketing and management. McLean formerly worked in sales as an account executive for KOBI-TV.
