Kellum

has joined the staff of mortgage broker Cox, Beard and Jacobsen.

The firm is one of the few Southern Oregon mortgage brokers that writes FHA and VA loans, as well as all other types. Kellum can be reached at 773-3131.

First American Title Insurance has announced the promotion of several managers: Steve Swearingen, Nora Hatzenpiller, Dwayne Rudisill and Jennie Thomas.

Swearingen, Southern Oregon regional manager, was promoted from county manager of the Jackson County/Crater Title Division in January this year. He will oversee operations in both Jackson and Josephine counties, which account for more than 100 employees. After a brief stint in the lumber, timber and real estate industries, Swearingen started his career in the title industry in 1972 as a poster locator with the Josephine-Crater Title Companies before moving to escrow, where he earned the position of escrow department manager.

Hatzenpiller, county manager, was promoted from escrow manager of the Jackson County operation in January this year. She has more than 30 years experience in most areas of the real estate and title insurance industry, including title, escrow officer, collection escrow, exchanges marketing and management.

Her real estate experience began as a broker's assistant in a busy real estate office in 1971, followed by 5 years in the county records department. She joined Josephine County Title in Grants Pass in 1978, became manager of the Cave Junction branch in 1986 and held that position until joining Western States Exchanges and the Crater Title Insurance in 1991.

Rudisill, Southern Oregon regional title manager, was promoted from title manager of the Crater Title Division in January. He now oversees the production of both the Jackson and Josephine county title plants. He began his title career in 1969 as a title examiner.

Thomas, county manager for the Josephine County Division, was promoted in January from escrow manager of the Josephine County Division. She started her working career as an accounting clerk in California before joining JOCO's title department in 1976, processing recordings and coordinating deliveries.

has received the certified property manager designation.

Lively earned his CPM status through the Institute of Real Estate Management, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. The Institute employs a group of expert property and asset managers who promote professional competencies and train members in areas of education and ethics at all levels. The CPM achievement is the highest level for an individual, while AMO is the maximum for a business.

has joined the Medford branch office of KPD Insurance Inc., commercial insurance agency as a worker compensation consultant.

KPD has offices in Medford and Springfield and has 69 employees.

Jayubo brings 12 years of worker compensation experience and was previously regional director for SAIF Corp. She is a native Oregonian, graduated from the University of Oregon and has a total of 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her responsibilities will include sales, consulting and client services.

Johnson, Clifton, Larson & Corson has elevated Lara C. Johnson

to the position of counsel.

Johnson has been an attorney in the firm's litigation department since 1993.

Her practice areas include personal injury, nursing home litigation, motor vehicle collisions, employment law and civil rights.

has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's litigation department in the areas of product liability and personal injury. Smith received her law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, graduating first in her class, in December.
