' Two people were treated for trauma injuries at Rogue Valley Medical Center Sunday. At about — a.m., a 1975 Corvette left Hawaiian Avenue and traveled through three yards, hitting trees and fences before smashing into an SUV, a pickup truck and a travel trailer. Two people in the trailer escaped unharmed.

The trailer was penetrated by a piece of the Corvette's frame that had separated from the car and acted as a projectile, said Medford Firefighter Steven Blumberg.

Medford fire officials and Medford police refused to release the name of the driver and the passenger Monday night. The case remains under investigation, police said.

Felony arrests


' Duane Harold Wright, 700 block of Royal Ave., Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Wright for identity theft. He was released on his own recognizance Monday from the Jackson County Jail.


' Kevin Christopher Loftis, 14000 block of Highway 62, Eagle Point. Medford Police Monday arrested Loftis on a Medford Municipal Court warrant charging second-degree theft. He posted bail and was released from the Jackson County Jail.

Eluding police

' Shannon Ray Gossman of the 2500 block of North River Road, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Gossman on a charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot and for parole violation for stealing a car. He was being held without bail in the Jackson County Jail.
