' 1500 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police took a report Saturday morning of a theft of a 1995 Nissan pickup.

' 400 block of E. Vilas Road, Medford. Medford firefighters said candles in a bedroom likely started a fire Friday at 8:48 p.m. Four fire engines and 12 firefighters kept the blaze from spreading beyond the bedroom and quickly extinguished it. The fire caused about &

Oven fire

' 1100 block of Rose Valley Drive, Central Point. Jackson County Fire District No. — firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire, but found only two turkey potpies that had boiled over onto an oven's heating element. The home's residents had doused the flames with a fire extinguisher by the time firefighters arrived. Firefighters speculated that someone was tired of Christmas leftovers.
