' Richard Carlton Koopmans, 49, of the 2400 block of Holcomb Springs Road, Gold Hill. Koopmans appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession of marijuana. He was booked into jail and released.

Injury accidents

Vehicle crash

' Highway 140 and Lakeview Drive. Oregon State police responded to a crash involving a Ford Ranger and a Hyundai Excel. Hyundai driver, Donald Purdin, 19, of White City, was headed north on Lakeview Drive with a 15-year-old girl as a passenger and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 140, police said. A Ford pickup driven by Jodi Lamensdorf, 42, of Eagle Point, was traveling east on the highway and struck Purdin's car on the driver's side.

Senior Trooper Kevin Myers said both vehicles were totaled, but all the occupants wore seatbelts, so didn't suffer serious injuries. All three were taken by ambulance to Rogue Valley Medical Center. Police continue to investigate the crash.
