Felony arrests


' Lee Michael Ottow, 22, of the 300 block of Beach Street, Ashland. Ashland police arrested Ottow early Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and driving under the influence of intoxicants, as well as a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a previous driving under the influence charge. ' Hipolito J. Manzano-Suarez, 27, of the 100 block of Chestnut Avenue, Medford. Manzano-Suarez appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released.

Sexual abuse

' Emilio Acosta, 31, of Bend. Acosta appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging him with first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and third-degree rape. He was booked into jail and released.

Crime reports


' 2300 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. Medford police got a report of a robbery at around 10 p.m. Thursday at Deli Yogurt Delight. A short, possibly Hispanic man in his 30s entered the shop with a two-foot-long bat, forced two employees to the back of the store and took an undetermined amount of cash from the till, said Officer Greg Lemhouse.

The suspect wore a blue bandanna over his mouth, a red and black flannel shirt and blue pants. He was last seen walking from the front of the yogurt shop.
