Drugs

' Charles William Pritchard, 20, of the 700 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Pritchard Tuesday on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, then released on his own recognizance.

Burglary

' James Albert Morgan, 40, no address listed. Ashland police arrested Morgan Tuesday on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and interfering with making a report. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Tuesday night on &

36;35,000 bail.

Drugs

' Carl Richard Haney, 26, of the 400 block of North Grape Street, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy arrested Haney on a charge of possession of amphetamine as well as warrants charging him with negotiating bad checks and second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail, then released on his own recognizance.

Rape

' Wesley Charles Crow, 46, of the 1700 block of Hart Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Crow on a charge of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of second-degree sexual abuse, as well as parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail.

Assault

' Bartley Dale Foster III, 21, of the 1000 block of West 13th Street, Medford. Foster appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with third- and fourth-degree assault. He was booked into jail and released.

' James Anthony Gronemeyer, 38, of the 100 block of Onyx Road, Eagle Point. Gronemeyer appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released.

' Garth Coleman Smith, 24, of the 10000 block of Gibbon Road, Central Point. Smith appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released.

Fire calls

Grass fire

' 14600 block of North Applegate Road, Applegate. A damaged power line sparked a fire that burned about 2.5 acres near the Jackson-Josephine county line before Jackson County Fire District No. 9 and Oregon Department of Forestry crews extinguished it Tuesday afternoon.
