Burglary

' William Dean Saltmarsh, 18, of the 1000 block of North Ross Lane, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Saltmarsh on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree theft. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on his own recognizance.

Burglary

' Timothy Michael Spencer, 32, no address available. Medford police on Monday arrested Spencer on four counts of first-degree theft, one count of first-degree burglary, three counts of being an ex-convict in possession of a weapon and one count of parole violation. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday without bail.

Drugs

' Mitchell Shane York, 31, of Eugene. York made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with manufacturing of marijuana and resisting arrest. He was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released on his own recognizance.

Theft

' Raymond Richard Preston, 36, of the first block of Clover Lane, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Preston on charges of identity theft, conspiracy to commit identity theft, misuse of a license and for violating his probation from a previous drug conviction. He was lodged Monday at the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Jail releases

' A total of 102 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of no more than 190 inmates.
