Theft

' Amanda Dawn Freeman, 22, of Eureka, Calif. Medford police arrested Freeman on Friday on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless driving and possession of amphetamines. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on &

36;33,000 bail, then released on her own recognizance.

Assault

' Eric Christopher Catlett, 21, of 1600 block of Sheldon Avenue, Medford. Catlett appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court on Friday on an indictment charging him with third- and fourth-degree assault and possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released.

Theft

' Kerri Ann McCree, 24, of the 800 block of Highland Drive, Medford. McCree appeared in Circuit Court on Friday on an indictment charging her with two counts of first-degree theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of amphetamines. She was booked into jail and released.

' 6600 block of Truax Road, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy took a report of a theft of a camcorder.

Vehicle theft

' 3100 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. A sheriff's deputy took a report of a theft of a 1977 GMC with license plate VRD 432.

Search

' Mt. McLoughlin. An 18-person search team from the sheriff's department were looking for a 41-year-old man and his 8-year-old son, both of Medford, Friday night. The two called for help about 6:45 p.m. via cell phone when they realized they were lost. Searchers were combing the southeast flank of the mountain, making noise and periodically checking in with the missing hikers to see if the lost could hear the finders. The search was still under way at 10 p.m. and the team felt confident they would find the pair.
