Fire call
Apartment fire '
A small fire caused &
36;1,000 worth of damage Saturday afternoon to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Brookhurst Street in Medford.
At 2:45 p.m., the Medford Fire Department received a report of a structure fire at the apartments. It turned out that a discarded cigarette ignited and burned the exterior of one building, said Battalion Chief Dan Petersen.
Nobody was injured. It took just a few minutes for a fire crew to extinguish the flames, Petersen said.
