Kevin Andrew Starks, 24, no known address. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Starks on charges of possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of amphetamines and manufacturing amphetamines. He was lodged in jail without bail.

Tianna Marie Ahsing, 18, of the 3600 block of Avenue G, White City. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Saturday arrested Ahsing on two counts of harassment, fourth-degree assault and failure to appear in court. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Saturday night on &

Drugs

' Kurtis Michael Marc Dillon, 27, of the 3600 block of South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. A Phoenix police officer Saturday arrested Dillon on a warrant charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail then released to avoid overcrowding.

Fire calls

Structure fire '

A double-wide mobile home at 386 Wagon Trail Road near Jacksonville was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon. One man who was in the home at the time was not injured, said Capt. Joe D'Amico of Applegate Fire District No. 9. Two of the man's dogs were killed in the fire. The blaze also destroyed the man's car and briefly burned in a nearby wooded area. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading through the forest, D'Amico said. The fire caused about &

36;6,500 worth of damage to the home. The fire is under investigation, D'Amico said.

Grass fire '

A fire burned about three-quarters of an acre of grass Saturday behind a home at 6467 Blackwell Road. Crews from Jackson County Fire District No. — went to the property after receiving a call of a fire at 5:20 p.m., firefighter Will Clelland said. The fire burned to within about 30 feet of the home, but crews were able to contain the blaze within 10 minutes, Clelland said.
