Leland Jason Sanders, 31, of the 500 block of Brittni Lane, Central Point. Sanders made his initial appearance Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of first-degree theft. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail, then released after posting bail.

' Crews from Jackson County Fire District No. — had a busy Wednesday, responding to three small grass fires near White City.
The first fire was reported at 9:32 a.m. in the 500 block of East Antelope Road. Capt. Dennis Jordan said crews were able to extinguish the blaze after it burned about one acre of dry grass. At about 10:15 a.m., firefighters responded to a spot fire along Gold Ray Road, before handling another small roadside blaze along Avenue H, Jordan said.
It's all little stuff, Jordan said. But with the humidities so low today, almost anything seems to get these going.
