Jail releases '
A total of 105 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap of no more than 230 inmates. Of those, 46 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 24 were granted an early release from a sentence and 35 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
