Since You Asked: Bookstore was setting for Walsch film scene

In Barnes and Noble a couple weeks ago a movie was being shot, although the store was open. Do you know what movie they were working on?

That would be the new movie based on Conversations with God, the best-selling book by Ashland author Neale Donald Walsch.

Shooting in the Rogue Valley began last month with 13 actors from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and lots of local extras. Directed by Ashland resident Stephen Simon (Somewhere in Time), the film portrays the spiritual journey of a formerly homeless ex-radio disc jockey.

36;2.4 million independent film include the old Carnegie library, the City Center Motel, the Medford airport, the Lausmann Annex, Barnes and Noble Booksellers and Land Mind Productions. Ashland locations include the Ashland Springs Hotel, Pangea Restaurant, Pasta Piatti and Geppetto's.
