Tribune Web feature offers expanded obituaries
An expanded obituaries service has debuted at mailtribune.com, the Mail Tribune's Web site.
Legacy.com, an obituary service used by 250 newspapers in the United States and Canada, offers readers the opportunity to post expanded obituaries online for as long as a year. Friends and family can sign online guestbooks and create tributes to people who have died.
It's also possible to search obituaries in all 250 publications that use Legacy.com and to search the U.S. Social Security Death Index.
Mail Tribune readers will access the new service by visiting the newspaper home page and clicking on Obituaries on the left-hand navigation bar.
Brief death notices will continue to be listed online and in the newspaper for no charge. The newspaper charges a fee for full-length obituaries and other Legacy.com services.
