SHADY COVE — Connie McGonagle has opened a second Hot Stuff Espresso shop at 21171 Highway 62 in downtown Shady Cove.
McGonagle opened an organic, fair trade coffee shop featuring Dagoba chocolate and other organic products seven years ago near the South Ashland freeway exit.
That drive-up has three employees during the winter and six during the summer.
The new location is inside the same building as Happy's Tacos and 62 Marketplace, but also has a drive-up window.
The daily hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., although the hours will extend from 5:30 a.m. to midnight during the summer. The telephone number is 541-878-8288.
McGonagle plans to open a third location by the end of the year, perhaps in Phoenix, near the freeway exit.
Eddy's Almost Famous Burgers and Pizza has opened at 1290 Stewart Ave.
Greg Wilcox acquired Eddy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, which traces its Medford roots back to 1967, in January of 2010. He formerly operated Happy Falafel in Ashland for four years before selling in 2009.
The new location employs eight and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily with the exception of Friday and Saturday when the hours are extended to midnight. The telephone number is 541-770-5000.
