Grange Co-op to move headquarters to Medford

Grange Co-op plans to move its corporate headquarters to Medford, in June.

The two-story building at 2833 N. Pacific Highway, acquired in 1993, was remodeled to accommodate projected growth and already houses the purchasing office, distribution warehouse and Pet Country store.

The move will bring information systems and corporate administrative offices to the site.

A total of 8,000 square feet on two floors will be used for corporate offices. New rooms will be added for increased employee training opportunities. The rest of the building will be dedicated to the Pet Country store, warehousing and distribution, the company said in a release announcing the move.

Chief Executive Officer Barry Robino said in the prepared statement that combining employees in one place is the most efficient use of assets and resources and has been a priority for the company. It is centrally located to serve the co-op's 11 operations in Southern Oregon and is just 2.5 miles from its present headquarters at 89 Alder St., Central Point.

Jackson Soil & Water Conservation District plans to move into the Central Point office building in June.

The district had approached Grange Co-op to purchase the Alder Street office building when looking to move its headquarters from Medford to Central Point. District Manager Randy White said the location is ideal for the conservation district to serve the needs of its rural constituents.
