March People in Business

Accounting firm KDP Certified Public Accountants has added three members to its staff:

Denise Flansburg,

Annie Driver and

Bryant Zwart.

Flansburg is the firm's business consulting services manager. Most recently, she was a senior accountant for CFO Solutions-NW, January 2013 to February 2016. Prior to that she was an analyst for Harry & David, July 2011 to January 2013. Before that, Flansburg was an auditor and advisor at Moss Adams in Los Angeles, October 2009 to July 2011, handling audits of nonprofits, manufacturing organizations, banks and service providers. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at the University of Oregon.

Driver, was a full charge bookkeeper and accountant before earning a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Southern Oregon University in 2011. She earned an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science degree in business and chemistry from SOU in 2002.

Zwart was most recently a staff accountant with Fortress Financial Group in Ashland, January 2015 to October 2015. Previously he was a financial controllerm account manager and accounting coordinator for for EMyth in Ashland, August 2011 to August 2014. Previous to that was a tax preparer for H&R Block, December 2010 to April 2011. Before that, he was a bookkeeper for Diamond Heart and Training Institute, July 2007 to July 2009 om Berkeley, Calif. He earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.

U.S. Bank has named

Erika Colson branch manager at its Ashland office. She began her career at U.S. Bank in 2009 as a banker and was promoted to assistant branch manager in 2012.

Del Rio Vineyards and Winery has hired

Troy Malone as its Northwest Regional brand manager. Malone previously was a sales representative for Southern Wine & Spirits in Portland, and Bronco Wine Co., of Ceres, Calif.  He attended Colorado Mountain College in Grand Junction.

Brad Hicks, CEO of The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County, has been elected vice chairman of the Western Association of Chamber Executives board for 2016-17. The association has played a significant role in the growth and development of chamber of commerce professionals, including management assistance for new chamber executives and other staff. In 1995 the association dropped its California boundary and became the Western Association of Chamber Executives.
