People's Bank extends reach with merger
People’s Bank of Commerce announced Monday it has completed its merger with Willamette Community Bank.
People’s Bank, the only locally owned and managed community bank left in Southern Oregon, will expand its reach into Northern Oregon through the merger. The chain of local banks was founded in 1998.
Willamette Community Bank will merge into People’s Bank, which is headquartered in Medford with branches there plus Ashland, Central Point, Grants Pass and Klamath Falls.
Founded in 2003, Willamette Community Bank has branches in Salem, Albany and Lebanon.
“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with Willamette Community Bank, which expands our franchise into the Willamette Valley markets,” said People’s Bank Chief Executive Officer Ken Trautman. “We are very pleased to welcome Willamette’s customers, shareholders and employees to People’s Bank and look forward to continuing to provide quality services and opportunities to them.”
