Oregon expects to be back at full speed soon at receiver
EUGENE — The Oregon Ducks expect projected starter Jamere Holland and top recruit Diante Jackson to return to the practice field soon.
Assuming nobody goes down with an injury before then, it will be the first time since training camp began that the Ducks have had their full complement of receivers.
Receivers coach Scott Frost says the assorted injuries are not too worrisome. The bumps, bruises and strains haven't been too severe and they've given backups a chance to get extra work.
One receiver who has taken advantage is Lavasier Tuinei (lah-VAHSH-ee-ay TOO-in-ay), a sophomore who joined the Ducks from a junior college in spring. Frost says the 6-foot-5 receiver's development this summer under strength and conditioning coach Jim Radcliffe has been noticeable.
