North Medford's Dixon signs to play at Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS — North Medford girls basketball standout Karissa Dixon has signed a letter of intent to play at Oregon Institute of Technology.

Owls coach Scott Meredith made the announcement Thursday.

Dixon, a 5-foot-10 senior guard, averaged 12.3 points, three assists and three steals and was a first-team all-Southwest Conference selection this past season for the Black Tornado.

Dixon was second team in the SWC as a junior and honorable mention as a sophomore.

"We are very excited to have Karissa coming to Oregon Tech," Meredith said in a release. "She is a great student, a gifted athlete and an experienced player who loves the transition game."

Dixon plans to study psychology.
