Raiders earn five NAIA marks in season opener

TURLOCK, Calif. — The Southern Oregon track and field team came away with five NAIA qualifying marks at Saturday's season-opening Cal State Stanislaus Dusty Invitational.

David Laney, Holly Haga, Seena Frantz, Dennis Olstedt and Sullivan Stephens all earned NAIA marks.

Laney was the lone Raider to earn the NAIA's "A" qualifying mark. He won the 5,000 race with a time of 14:44.92.

Olstedt and Stephens earned "B" qualifying marks in the 400 hurdles, while Haga opened up with a "B" qualifying throw in the discus and Frantz notched a "B" time, finishing second in the 5,000 in a time of 17:50.15.
