Pac-12 releases schedule for early games
SAN FRANCISCO — The Pac-12 Conference has unveiled kickoff times and television information surrounding the first three weeks of the 2015 football season, as well as selected games later in the year.
The initial round of announcements had no Oregon home game starting later than 5 p.m.
The new era of Oregon State football begins Friday, Sept. 4 versus Weber State in a game being televised nationally by the Pac-12 Networks at 5 p.m. The Pac-12 Networks will also showcase the Sept. 19 home game versus San Jose State at 5 p.m.
The Pac-12 Conference opener for the Beavers on Friday, Sept. 25, against the Stanford Cardinal at Reser Stadium is a nationally televised broadcast by FOX Sports 1 at 7 p.m.
The 119th edition of the Civil War will kick at either 12:30 or 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, and air on FOX or FOX Sports 1.
Two of the Ducks’ first three games will be televised along the Pac-12 Networks, with the Sept. 5 season-opening home game versus Eastern Washington to start at 5 p.m., and the Sept. 19 meeting with Georgia State to kickoff at 11 a.m.
Oregon’s first road game of the year at Michigan State (Sept. 12) was previously announced to start at 5 p.m. and air nationally on ABC, as well as its Oct. 29 game at Arizona State at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The Pac-12 Conference championship game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
The television arrangement with ESPN and FOX Sports calls for Pac-12 football to receive full national distribution of each game.
ESPN will televise on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ABC, while FOX Sports will air its games on FOX or FOX Sports 1.
While television selections for the first three weeks of the 2015 season have been made, as well as all Thursday and Friday games throughout the season, all remaining television game selections and start times, starting with week four (Saturday, Sept. 26) and running through the final week of the regular season (Saturday, Nov. 28) will be made 12 or six days in advance.
