Rogues win close one at home
Jared Holley’s sacrifice fly drove in Nathan Etheridge from third base in the bottom of the eighth inning and gave the Medford Rogues the go-ahead run in their 2-1 win over Klamath Falls during West Coast League action at Harry & David Field on Tuesday.
Chris DeVito, who teamed with Holley to help lead the University of New Mexico this spring, first put Medford on top with an RBI single in the first inning that brought home Dan Mayer.
The Gems (0-5) responded in the fourth with a game-tying solo home run by Ty Wyatt.
Etheridge came home with no outs in the eighth.
