Oregon shuts out Seattle

EUGENE — The University of Oregon baseball team shut out Seattle, 14-0, during nonleague action on Tuesday.

Spencer Steer was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs and Kyle Kasser 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs for the Ducks (5-2), who erupted for 10 runs in the second inning.

Cullen Kafka earned the win after allowing no runs or walks and two hits with three strikeouts in three innings.

Oregon, which has won three straight, next hosts Florida Atlantic on Friday.
