In case you need to feel any hotter, the temperature soared to 107 degrees briefly around 2 p.m. at the Medford airport — setting a new record for July 28.

At 3:15 p.m., it had dipped to a still-sweltering 105, which equals the old record for July 28, set in 2003.

Forecasters were expecting another scorching day Wednesday, with a high around 106.
