Rogue Valley Toy Run roars into Medford Saturday

Hundreds of motorcyclists will parade through downtown Medford Saturday to deliver toys that will be distributed to needy children this holiday in the 29th annual Rogue Valley Toy Run.

The run will begin at about noon from Naumes Oregon Motor Sports, 2233 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. The riders will head north to Riverside Avenue, past the Rogue Valley Mall on to North Pacific Highway, then turn right onto Table Rock Road, where the procession will end at the Eagles Club, 2000 Table Rock Road.

A social hour with doughnuts and hot drinks provided by Starbucks will begin at 10 a.m. at Naumes.

Lunch and live music will be provided at the Eagles Club for all participants. Shirts and limited-edition Toy Run prints drawn by Ashland artist Will Storm will be on sale the day of the event. All cash proceeds from T-shirt sales, donations and the auction will be go to the Children's Miracle Network.

Last year the Rogue Valley Toy Run had more than 1,000 riders and collected hundreds of toys for the Salvation Army. More than $10,000 was raised for the Children's Miracle Network. All of the toys collected are donated to the Toys for Tots program, Jackson County Foster Parents and several other agencies in the Rogue Valley.
