SALEM 3, MEDFORD 1 — At Salem, the Salem Withnell Dodgers utilized two costly walks in the first inning and a strong outing from pitcher Ryan Thompson to defeat the Mustangs at Willamette University's John Lewis Field.

Thompson struck out nine and scattered seven hits over eight innings for the win.
