Spartans swept by Totems

After an impressive season where the Southern Oregon Spartans not only made the playoffs with the fourth-best record in the NORPAC, but rolled through their first-round match up, the Spartans finally met their end against the Seattle Totems on Friday.

The Spartans fought back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game late in the second period, but to no avail as the Totems finished a sweep of the Spartans with a 7-5 victory at The RRRink.

Vance Bridgman scored the last of three second-period goals for the Spartans to even the score at 4-all at the 17-minute mark. But less than a minute later, the Totems' Ricky Doubrava scored to put his team up for good.

Seattle's Parker Eliot opened the third period with a goal push the lead to 6-4, before Mike Feagan was able to connect for the Spartans.

Feagan had two goals and an assist to lead the Spartans (3-4 NORPAC playoffs). The Totems (6-0 NORPAC playoffs) received two goals apiece from Eliot and Cameron Hoffman.

Also scoring for the Spartans were Casey Skolnik and Dane Irving.
